    Shanghai Librarians Network Charter
    As the Shanghai Librarians Network formalizes its organizational structure, we are working to modify and adopt a charter. Below is the CharterCharter for ALESS, the Hong Kong librarians network that we looked at during our meeting in January 2013. Please make notes and suggestions in a different color. We will make final changes and adopt the document at a SLN meeting this spring.

    in ALESS.

    Annual General Meeting

    At the AGM, leadership positions polled in the weeks prior will be announced and reports from
    the incumbent coordinators presented.
    Dates, venues and minute takers for each meeting will be set for the following year.
    Minutes from the previous AGM will be ratified.
    Ordinary Meetings

    1. Meetings are held monthly or quarterly, as deemed appropriate by coordinators.
    2. Meetings are held in libraries whenever possible.
    3. Venues within Shanghai alternate between Puxi and Pudong when possible.
    4. The agenda is posted one week before the meeting by the host school.
    4. Meetings begin at 4:00 and end as close to 6:00 as possible.

    The network association has two an active listerv online groups of which all members are encouraged to join. The role of the Yahoo group listerv is to facilitate communication between members for the sharing of ideas and resources. It is open to all members upon formal request after introduction at an ALESS meeting. All personal information remains within the list which should be updated as necessary. Files are only available for ALESS members, both voting and non-voting. The purpose of the Google+ group is to facilitate discussions...(the purposes of both groups need to be defined)
